Olive Cafe began in 2014 with one simple mission: to show God’s love to the community of Edgeley.

Our Friends of Olive scheme allows members to support our work through a monthly donation. These funds allow us to :

Share God’s love and word
Combat loneliness by giving time to listen
Facilitate the delivery of community projects and events
Offer training and support to those who may not be able to get work elsewhere
Bring a community together
Provide delicious food and drinks
Work in partnership with local churches, schools and businesses to give work experience, entertain and care for local residents

In return, our members will receive regular updates by email, 2 free coffees a month and an annual thank you letter from us, detailing our biggest successes from the year.

How do I join?

Thank you for considering membership to our Friends of Olive scheme. There are a couple of ways in which you can join up and we are here to help.

If you’re able to use email, and feel that you would be able to set up a standing order via online banking, please contact us via email at: friendsofolivecafe@gmail.com and we will provide you with the bank details, and a step by step guide to setting up your donations. We will then add you to our members list. Alternatively, pop into the cafe and speak to a member of staff and we can help you get set up.

How much do I give?

We do of course welcome any donation and are very grateful to those who choose to support us- every pound makes a difference. The only stipulation we make is that in order to receive 2 free membership coffees per month, you donate a minimum of £5 per month.

Can I Gift Aid my donation?

Yes! If you are a UK taxpayer, you can increase the value of your gift to the Friends of Olive Cafe at no extra cost. Consent to Gift Aid and the Friends of Olive Cafe can reclaim the tax already paid on your subscription.
